Some personal qoutes from our Commttee Members:

Ashok Misra / RealNetworks, Chair 'What attracted me initially to join this group were the ideals that the CNP Payment Forum had (then known as the Direct Response Forum, DFR). Although there are many events throughout the year relating to on-line payments, this is truly the only educational forum that, as our tag lines says, is “For Merchants, By Merchants”. I am really looking forward to taking the Chair position this year and am confident that we can executing another educational and informative event in Berlin in 2010.' |
Ron Debos / TW4, Secretary 'Developments in the payments industry are ongoing every day and therefore it is vital to stay in touch with reality. The CNPPF family allows me to be amongst professionals in the payments industry thereby keeping myself up to date on my knowledge and extending my network in the industry. Key for me personally and my organisation - TW4 fulfilment services!' |
Carol Neale / DHL European HQ 'As a community of 'payment savvy' professionals from various backgrounds there is a richness of information, cross cultural exchange and a lot of common sense around. It's a kind of resource point, creative hub and an engine for change combined. Being part of the forum gives me a commercial and professional advantage and supports personal development as I become more updated with market dynamics, trends, legal and technological developments. As payments become increasingly one of the key processes for any business developing it's online capabilities, my experience as a merchant representative, is that working with the forum is a solid investment of time for any merchant or related business, large, medium or small. |
Paul Van Alfen / GlobalCollect 'I got involved with the CNP Payment Forum because in my opinion, accepting payments brings many challenges to merchants. So, being offered an opportunity to share of information and best practices is very important! The CNP Payment Forum brings the merchant and vendor communities together to better balance functionality and needs. |
Lissa McPhillips / Chase Paymentech 'I got involved with the CNP Payment Forum two years ago. At that time, I was new to Payments and being part of this dynamic group gave me a real insight into both merchant and vendor issues. Feedback from our merchants over the years has been that they find the conferences a great place to talk peer to peer. The openness of the two-days is great and of course the fact that no-one is selling you anything is a bonus!'

Darragh Lee / Chase Paymentech, Treasurer Like some of my colleagues on the Board, I have experience as both a merchant and a vendor. What keeps me involved with the CNP Payment Forum is the uniqueness of it. There's no other event in Europe like it in an otherwise very busy conference calendar. I like being part of the team that brings this educational event to merchants. |
Gable McCloin / Chase Paymentech 'I've been involved with the CNP Payment Forum right from the start. Initially, I was a merchant myself and our conference consisted of a bunch of us meeting in a pub in Dublin to discuss issues of concern to us. That was seven years ago. The CNP Payment Forum has grown a lot since then and it continues to grow. I now represent an Acquirer but I'm still very aware of Merchant issues and think that the Forum is an excellent way to keep up-to-date with the constant change within the payments industry. As Head of Client Services, I know that my merchants find it very beneficial. As long as they do, I'll be involved!' |
