• What does Customer Not Present mean?
Customer Not Present, or CNP, is the term used to describe transactions that are conducted at a distance, for example over the phone or Internet, and do not carry verification by signature or by PIN.
• What are the benefits of being a member of the CNP Payment Forum?
Our main purpose is to support you – the Merchant
For small and medium sized Merchants, the conference gives you direct access to card associations and payment vendors. You also get to network with larger Merchants and learn best practices from some of the world’s top CNP brands such as Dell and Amazon.
Feedback from our larger Merchant attendees is that they benefit from peer to peer conversations and with direct access to a variety of payment providers and acquirers, can use this opportunity to ensure that they are getting the best value from their payment incumbent.

• How much does the conference cost?
As we are not-for-profit, we can keep our conference attendance fees low. Whereas most conferences of this type cost thousands to attend, our fees are considerably lower (eg. 2009 attendance fee was €295)

• Can I join the Executive Board?
As a Merchant you are most welcome to talk to us about joining our Executive Board. We are proud to call ourselves the “Forum For Merchants, By Merchants” and depend very much on merchants of all sizes volunteering their time to assist us in organising our yearly event. • How much time would I need to spend if I were to join the Board?
We very much appreciate that everyone is busy with their day jobs so we spread the work load amongst the team. As a member of the Executive Committee, you would be required to volunteer no more than 1-2 hours a week.

Each year we endeavor to ensure that our agenda addresses key issues of interest to merchants across the CNP spectrum.
